Studio YogaLee is a branding project, which was created during the Branding course in John Bryce. The project consists of logo design, illustrations, brand language, and application design which includes the brand store. The main purpose was to create unique visuality and language which will help to pass the message about the brand’s philosophy. The main purpose also was the main challenge, because of the competition in this field. There are a lot of Yoga Studios, especially in Tel Aviv that’s why it might be hard to be at the top or to stand out among all.
Inspiration
For the past two years, since coronavirus to be exact, I discovered for myself the perfect way to relax, calm down and wake up, the way I am talking about is yoga practice. Waking up early, lighting up some candles, starting with breathing, and smoothly continuing with the exercises, for me, it’s the best way to start my day. That’s why I came up with the idea to create the perfect place where I and other people can start their day. I really wanted to forward the message about the abilities of yoga practice, it really can make you happier, that’s why the visuality of this brand has to be outstanding and welcoming. You have to practice if you want to feel this way. The vision was to create a place where people can, at the same time, give and collect good energy.
Logo Design
I decided to start with illustrations for this project, that’s how I choose colors for the brand and the logo. I chose one illustration to be the logo of the studio. The illustration provides you with the atmosphere of the environment, it gives you a general picture of how eventually your brand will look. The logo illustration is a cow face pose. I have two main reasons why I choose this illustration. First, because of the appearance of the pose itself, it’s more collected and accurate, and when you look at it you focus your gaze on the center. The second reason is because of the front position of the pose. The front represents honesty, direct interactions, positive intention, and openness. It’s more welcoming than a side position.
